The
room swayed as the music thrummed across the crowd, a slow pulsing
beat that drew bodies together and inspired soft, rhythmic grinds.
Clark stood, hot and sweaty, by the bar sipping his beer and watching
Lana and Pete slide together. Their hands clutching, hips moving,
foreheads touching until Clark had to look away.
He'd danced
fast and hard for several hours with Chloe but she'd taken off for
the night, her boyfriend never quite comfortable that she and Clark
were just friends, anyway. Clark wiped a hand across his forehead,
trying to get his sweat soaked bangs to stay off of his face, but
they flopped back down and he felt the tickling roll of sweat slipping
down his temples.
His eyes grazed
over the Metropolis crowd, young and fast and making the most of
the dark. Every corner full of couples, grinding and kissing, licking
and sucking. Clark smiled and closed his eyes. He knew that he'd
had too much to drink when he opened them again to see Lex standing
in a corner alone, eyes focused on the gently undulating crowd--because
wishes didn't actually come true.
Lex lifted
his beer and took a long swallow. Clark stared at his long, pale
neck, his lips that clasped the lip of the bottle and his shiny
tongue that flicked out to catch a drop. Lex's long fingers grazed
across his bald head, wiping sweat away and sliding down to unbutton
his shirt a little more, exposing a chest slick with sweat. Clark
licked his lips and drew his eyes back up to Lex's face, sure that
he would be staring back at him, curious and intense, but he wasn't.
Lex was oblivious, in another world, eyes half-mast and lips open
a little as his body moved to the music that rolled out over the
crowd.
Clark swallowed
hard and pushed away from the bar, abandoning the beer bottle and
flipping some money onto the counter for the tip. Clark's eyes locked
on his target and he was drawn across the room, unable to stop until
he stood directly in front of him, heart beating in his throat.
Lex looked up, still swaying in time with the crowd and Clark moved
in, his eyes melting into Lex's.
Neither spoke
as Clark's hands gripped Lex's narrow hips, guiding them onto the
dance floor. They moved together, becoming part of the ocean-like
waves of the crowd. Clark dipped his head, lips mere inches from
Lex's, every beat drawing them closer together until they were breathing
one another's breath. The scent of their sweat, the slick slide
of Lex's scalp under his fingers and those lips just a centimeter
away merged in his senses and he pressed his erection into Lex's
hip.
Lex's eyes
blinked slowly as he tilted his head. The taste of Lex mouth unexpected
and sweet, beer and sweat and good. Blue eyes staring into his as
their lips moved with their hips. The music swelled and Clark closed
his eyes, all sensation, now. All pulsing rhythm, all hot friction
against his straining erection, all slick, wet mouth on his, music
filling his ears and vibrating over his body, full and complete
and wow.
Lex pulled
away as the song ended and Clark whimpered, biting his lip in frustration.
Lex touched Clark's arm, lifted onto his toes and yelled in Clark's
ear over the heavy beat of the next song, "Say goodbye to your
friends, Clark. Let's go home."
Clark blinked
and smiled, grin spreading over his face, matched by a promising,
sweaty smile from Lex.
"Okay,
sure."
